Education of middle childhood students in psychological exercises via the creation of a personal vision board that promotes the use of successful navigation techniques, as noted in Psychology Today publications, while venturing through adolescence life's fields of adversity:
- Visualization of when, where, and how to study and/or train
- Realization that one is in control of his or her own thoughts, feelings, actions, and reactions, with no control over the actions of others
- Acceptance of the possibility that: the universe may have varying greater plans; not achieving personal objectives may actually be beneficial; outcomes that may appear negative may be positive; finding the silver lining in what appears to be a storm cloud by recognizing lessons to be learned that perceived failures may result in a beneficial successful outcome
- Identification of the reasons for the lack of success and making adjustments to alter the course to pursue better outcomes
- Contemplation of potential obstacles that may obstruct the achievement of the desired objective that includes preparing mentally, emotionally, and practically for facing challenges in reality
